My wife and I love the area and would like to purchase a property there and rent it out to holiday makers to help with the mortgage but am not sue if there is much of a market there for such a thing.|||There are tons of houses/condos for sale all over Florida including in Crystal River. That is a truly beautiful area. It isn't a super big "rental" area like Naples, Fort Myers, Miami, or Daytona, . You might want to buy a little further south if having a succession or renters is super important. It is significantly colder in Crystal R. in the winter than the area s. of the Caloosahatchee R....... significantly colder!|||There's a large housing market anywhere now days because of the decline in the market. There is also a very good market for these places during the holiday time because it's a prime vacation spot.
