We live in NY, and we have a dog, so we usually rent out beach houses/vacation rentals. We've been to myrtle beach, St. petersburgh, and virginia beach. We're looking into going to virginia beach again, but are there any other fun places that are nice to go that are on the beach?|||JERSEY SHORE!!!!!

Specifically, South Jersey.

There's everything from big gambling beach cities like Atlantic City, to cute quaint towns like Cape May and Sea Isle City, to family towns like Wildwood or Ocean City.

Ocean City, NJ has a special place in my heart. It's a dry town (still get booze in restaurants), and small but still lots to do.

Wildwood and Wildwood Crest have very cute hotels, lots of carnival stuff, and a huge sandy beach.

Wildwood and Wildwood Crest are separate but not really. They blend into eachother. One has lodging and one has stuff to do.

It's a bigger version of Ocean City, not as big as Atlantic City.

You didn't give any details - do you have kids, what is your age range, what kind of activities do you enjoy??

You seem to like bigger tourist trap beach towns. Atlantic City may be great for you.

I do think some of the smaller beach towns along the Jersey Shore are dog friendly.

FYI, gotta Beach Tags for Jersey Shore too.

Dog friendly beach in Cape May. Higbee Beach Wildlife Management Area - dogs on a leash are allowed on the beach throughout the year.

Probably get away with this. Take the dogs down really early or later at night when the lifeguards have gone home. Also prior to Memorial and after Labor Day.|||I would travel just a bit further south of Virginia Beach to Duck, NC on the Outer Banks. The beaches are clean, people are friendly and there is a great deal to see and do if you get tired of just vegging on the beach.

Enjoy!!!
