Liz, go in a hotel, you can get some great deals this time of year. You can try latedeals.com or just google up for the Lakes. Its not as expensive as you think if you shop around and you have a nice bed to sleep in. no washing up or laundry etc. Stay in one in town, and you can get some good food, drink and entertainment, at reasonable prices. You still get all the walking, views etc. and relax afterwards.
