Inexpensive rental on the water. I live in Honolulu. Planning to fly my 3 teenage grandsons, from CA, for a visit mid-July. Would like to rent a small place on the water for a week or two.|||Ok, well uo7, you live Honolulu, you know rent gonna be spensive, and onna beach gonna be more spensive, ok? My suggest is you look at listing on Craigslist which have what you want, then go look at it, cause some real dumps specially if they cheap on the water, ok? Now, that not to say they not available, you just gotta find them, yeah? Now, if you wanna place for 300 per nite, then you got lotta place to choose from, if you go for 2 weeks, ok? If you looking for less than 100 a nite, you mite want to go to Sears and buy tent, get permit for camp for a week at camp ground of you choice cause not gonna be too many for that price, none that I know of, and would wanna stay in, ok?
Peace and aloha to you!|||Yeeeeaaahhhh, if you live in Honolulu, you should know that inexpensive and on the water don't tend to go together. It would help if you can clarify if you want something in Honolulu or anywhere on the island. I'd tend to think you might want to look things up on Craigslist (and go see them in person, too -- lots of Craigslist things that are too good to be true are indeed scams). And otherwise you might want to look for things like hostels that will do weekly or monthly rentals. Your best bet may be to ask around via anyone you already know -- just in case they have an ohana on the back of their property that's short-term open -- something like that.
