We rented a house for four days. The house was spotless when we arrived. Of course it was not cleaned in the time we were there. Should I tip the cleaning staff?|||aren't u already paying for cleaning after u depart?|||Depends if it was meant to be cleaned , while u were in there. If they failed you , on that note. Then they should not get a tip. But if it was clean, when u arrived. And there was no expectation for them to clean it while u were there. You should leave a tip, for them having to clean up your filth so to speak. Generally, just leaving some change/coins on one of the table,, signifies a tip. Adding whayt u leave, and whatever somebody in one of the other vacational rentals leave, it adds up to a bit , and keeps the maid happy.|||You can if it makes you feel better. I never understood the idea of paying somebody extra for doing the job that they are already getting paid for. I understand waiters and waitresses are underpaid on purpose and the tips equate into their actual pay but everybody else is on their own. But do as you feel best.|||yes|||Sure, it would make their day.|||Yes. I would leave $20.|||yes i would it never hurts to help :D
